Today is the last of the brodcast tech 1 class for me. I thought the class was really fun. My favorite part was getting to do everything like by yourself or with a partner. I loved being able to film and edit to make something really cool. My favorite project was the six word story because it was so cool telling a story with six words that means something me. I really can't think of something i would of done differently. I liked everything we did for the most part and would not of changed anything. I do consider taking Broadcast Tech 2 next year or in years to come. Just overall, I thought this class was very fun and would recommand to students who are interested in this class.

A couple weeks ago, students at Ladue High School walk out in protest of the discrimation and rasism going on at the school. The Ladue girls basketball had a huge part in the protests and what is going on at school. I interviewed basketball players and got great clips from the protest and put it in to a news package. I will put it up very soon. Hope you like it.
So now you can go watch my practice interview with my friend Jenna Gold on my website. Jenna is a good tennis player, so I interviewed her about tennis and what she does with like the tennis team and outside of the school team. The interview is very interesting and fun so go watch it now!
So in class we have been talking about the saying Hey, You, See, So which goes with a news story because soon we are going to make our own news stories. In class today our teacher made us watch interesting videos by the famous reporter Steve Hartman. There were two videos that really stuck out to me. The first one was about a middle school football team who had a boy with disabilities. The team helped the boy get a touchdown which is really nice for the boy with disabilities to get a touchdown. A boy on the team was interviewed and said he didn't come out with the idea because he used to only care about himself mostly but this changed him, which really stuck out at me. The second one that stuck out was where this women who was a cafeteria lady, but she is retired now. The women opens her home to her whole church and feeds them with her amazing food. I think that is amazing that someone opens their house to so many people to eat. It is just amazing. Both of these video start off not expecting what the outcome is like Hey, You, See, So.
I have finally finished my 6 word story and you can watch it now on this website. My 6 word story is about tennis since I love tennis and I am a tennis player. I liked doing this project. I thought it was fun going out not at school and filming my own shots. My story say that 'Remember there is always another point' which means that in tennis when you loss the point there still is another point to play. So go watch my 6 word story.
So we did a video scavenger hunt which was our first actual filming project and experience. We put into one video that we called The Circus Wagon project. In the video each shot was totally different with a different effect and transition. This made it look really weird but kinda cool at the same time. I'm not posting it because of that reason.
The concept of 6 word stories are inspired by Ernest Hemingway. His story was "For sale: baby shoes, never worn." It was an example of flash fiction. Flash fiction is fiction that is really brief. I will be creating my own 6 word story soon, so stay tuned to see it.
My I am Rebecca video is on my site right now. This video shows what I am like and many photos of me and my friends and family. You can go watch it now!
